**Good source for info on transoceanic plane/ship travel costs and times in the 1960’s? What would happen to someone strapped to an ICBM?** ICBM-based travel was still in its early days in the 1960’s. There were no free peanuts, and the chance of accidentally being blown to smithereens during launch was a lot higher than today. Of course, on the plus side, there was more leg room, and smoking was allowed. Landing was a total bitch, of course, but they still haven’t really sorted that part out. ---
