Just loved his music. So fresh with driving rhythms and melody.

Oh man, that’s sad to hear. His album [**Brasileiro**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlV59UbrY-E&list=PL_72ShF5Ej8EIeSh0-JgqQJrQ0m2sPdwU) is a masterpiece of Brazilian music.

OH NO! I love his music and have all of his albums. (Do we still call them that?) His music was the soundtrack of my high school and college days, and I still play it a lot. Some friends and I trekked to Austin _in 1966_ to see the group in person when it was still “Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66.” The theme of my senior prom was “Corcovado.”

Oh my… these milestones…damn.

Ouch. I would have posted the same video as the OP did; that song is one of my earliest music memories.

I will die on the hill proclaiming that “Mas Que Nada” is the greatest pop song of all time.
