True Detective season 1, Woody Harrelson, Mathew, Matthew McConaughey I like the actors and decided to watch. Weird is probably the best word. A detective fresh out of a mental hospital gets assigned a serial killer case? How could that possibly go wrong. šŸ˜‰ The actorā€™s performances are very good. I like mixing in political pressure from up on high. Itā€™s only 8 episodes. Seen 4. Iā€™ll finish it tonight. I may skip season 2 with a different cast. The reviews arenā€™t good. ---

Weā€™re currently watching season 4 of **LEGO Masters Australia** on Tubi. I love the US version as well, but I think I like the Australian one even more. This show just makes me happy! ---

Kind of like what some have said about ā€˜Man on the Insisdeā€™-- not that they are very similiar shows on the surface, but in the sense that they both have comedic elements but are not really full-on comedies, and have a mystery thatā€™s not really the central aspect of the show either. They are both character-driven shows. ---

We are watching season 6 of _[Face Off](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1663641/)_. Itā€™s probably the best ā€œreality tv contestā€ show after _T[he Great British Baking Show.](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1877368/?ref_=fn_all_ttl_2)_ The talent of some of these (usually young) artists is truly astonishing. They make film-quality prosthetics from original designs in under 3 days. ---

**Schmigadoon** Love this show, just finished the first season. How was this not massively recommended to everyone, everywhere? A musical show much like Galavant, a show I also love. If you liked Galavant, you are missing out if you have not seen Schmigadoon. ---

Just watched the pilot of ā€œGoing Dutchā€, a new comedy starring Dennis Leary and Danny Pudi (Abed from Community). I was hoping this would be good, since there seem to be few good new comedies lately. But I also typically have low expectations in general for new comedies, since they are so often just so bad. Iā€™m happy to report, not terrible! I actually LOLed a few times. ---

I do get bogged down in that because (unlike _Star Wars_ or _Star Trek_) it pretends to try to be realistic. Just like Iā€™m not bothered by ā€œa literal demon did itā€ in a show like _Suoernatural_ but it would piss me off if it was the solution on a show like _NCIS_. ---
