I’ve started this (_Cassandra_) now. Oh yes, Lactose intolerance DEFINITELY survives through not having a body of any kind. (If there was a heaven and hell, Lactose intolerance is definitely a product of hell. Nothing quite like having horrible consequences when you eat food you like. I guess that could have made a hilarious episode) ---

We watched the first episode of the new Tom Hanks narrated wildlife program on NBC. The photography is great, but his voice seems muffled and they have some annoying cheesy music playing all the time. At least they didn’t assign human names to the animals. ---

Yeah…it’s cheesy and Anthropomorphism 101. But the cinematography is beautiful. ETA: and cicadas are gross. Ew. Ewww eww eww. I was about to condemn the entire insect class as beyond redemption and swear never to travel to the East Coast, but then they showed fireflies. ---

Now that I’m halfway through Season 3 of **The Good Place** , I’m gonna post another comment. I think S3 has a more coherent story line than S2 and is also funnier. I love the episode where the team goes to Jacksonville to help Jason’s buddy Donkey Doug become a better and more successful person. It turns out that Donkey Doug, with whom Jason has engaged in various criminal activities, is not his buddy but his father. Donkey Doug and his other son Pillboi make it very obvious where Jason’s hopeless stupidity comes from! Donkey Doug is so scrupulously honest that his first words to Michael when the team comes to the door are “Are you a cop? Because if you’re a cop you have to tell me!” At this point I’ll give this unique gem of a series my almost-unqualified recommendation, with the caveat that the sci-fi like fantasy may not be for those who prefer shows solidly grounded in reality. I also must say that Ted Danson is a really good actor I don’t think he had the scope to really show his talent in _Cheers_, but he does here. Every major cast member is great, actually, but it’s Danson who particularly stands out. And Kirsten Bell is super cute. ---

I use Lactaid (actually the CVS equivalent) whenever I eat anything with dairy, and watch the quantities I consume. I use almond milk with cereal. Once I made the mistake of drinking a full glass of eggnog without taking Lactaid. Never again. ---
