Was he on Boston PD before? Then he is a new hire. BPD’s maximum age allowed includes transfers. Transfers also must go to the police academy (a shortened version). I retired at 56 but my retirement system requires 25 years and I was one of the oldest in the academy. NYPD has 20 retirement. If Danny got hired right out of the Marines he would have been retirement eligible at around 45 years old. At 56 he is definitely retirement age. ---

I just watched several episodes of FBI on CBS. Okay, other than the weird propensity for uncalled for foot chases. But what is up with Alana de la Garza’s face? Super high cheekbones, but her cheeks are hollow, giving her the “undead” look. I kinda got away from “Pluribus” after the first few eps, as it just wasn’t grabbing me. Went back to it yesterday and the interest level has improved. ---

Yeah, I should have been more specific – they run, out the back door, just as the other agents are coming around the corner of the house to cover the back. Then a foot chase of several blocks. You’d think the federal agents would learn to wait until the back is covered before busting in through the front door. ---

I’ve started watching _The Copenhagen Test_. A spy drama where an agent discovers that he has been infected with nanotech that transmits everything he sees and hears to the people that infected him. Now he has to find out who is watching him without ever seeing or hearing anything that would expose that he knows about the conspiracy. (He occasionally is in Wi-Fi free areas allowing him to see/learn real stuff.) Pretty hammy cheesy so far. (If it had bread it would make a good sandwich.) ---

I just finished the three 6-episode seasons of Blue Lights on Britbox. Another season is due in 2026. I think it was recommended here. It’s about a police station in Belfast, with all the echoes of the Troubles still very much present, along with drug dealers keeping the city in turmoil. Very different than other police dramas I’ve seen. I recommend it, despite some minor frustrations. ---

Started a Korean series called _Cashero_. A guy gains auperpowers. But they take money to use. He has to have cash physically with him at the time, the more power used the more cash used. (Lots of other people must be watching it, too. When I typed “convert” into Google just now, it auto-suggested dollars into wan. Which is what I wanted.) ---

i was reminded about "victoria"in the mmp. i had seen a bit of season 1, so i decided to rewatch. the historic inaccuracies are a bit frustrating. it is entertaining. the parallels between victoria and elizabeth ii are interesting. now to find something else. ---
