I loved _Children’s Hospital_! It somehow hit my sense of humor just right. In the same vein, you might want to check out _NTSF:SD:SUV_, which is to police procedurals what CH is to medical dramas. ---

We’re watching the remake of _Little House on the Prairie_. It’s not as sappy as the original, which is okay. The cast is decent. We visited the rebuilt cabin in the woods near Pepin, WI some years ago. ---

It features a lot of the same comedians as those two shows, and my wife and I found it very funny. Unfortunately, it only seems to be on offer to buy or rent, no streaming channels are carrying it as of now, not even the ‘free with commercials’ channels like Tubi. ---

**Godless** , a Netflix limited series from circa 2017. Pretty good overall. It’s a western set primarily in and around a town populated almost exclusively by women whose husbands died in a mining accident. It’s an ensemble cast with a fairly standard “young thief becomes disillusioned and betrays older thief” plot, but Jeff Daniels plays the heavy and really elevates the material IMHO. Also, there are some interesting side characters and some… you might almost say humorous moments, but in a dead pan sort of way. Anyway, it’s not all lynch mobs getting lynched and door to door widows. There’s also a (nearly) blind sheriff! ---

I really enjoyed that. Definitely a slow burn but some great cinematography and performances. All builds nicely to the climax. ---

**I Will Find You** - Gave up after two episodes. You’re telling me a man is in jail for killing his son, no motive, no witnesses, and after year 5 he finds out his boy is alive and well because someone looking like him photobombed a grainy photo taken at a state fair? Who was this dude’s Defense Attorney, Lionel Hutz? Oh, he isn’t going to appeal the case, he isn’t going to hire a detective to find his boy, he’s just going to break out!? I can’t. The dumb is too powerful for me. ---

Heh, pretty much every TV show and movie with a “person is accused of a crime and goes on the run” plot has them racking up multiple crimes just to avoid being arrested for the unjustly accused crime. Jump in a car someone left idling for a minute, to get away from the cops? Grand Theft Auto. Pull a gun on a cop and lock them up with their own handcuffs, all the while saying “I’m innocent, I’m innocent I tell ya!”? Yeah, still a pretty major felony. But of course the person is completely exonerated after the original crime is shown to be a frame job or whatever. IRL, I think that person would still be in a pile of legal trouble for all the follow-up crimes. ---

What about Richard Kimble as played by Harrison Ford in The Fugitive? I don’t think he actually committed any crimes, aside from identity theft (for assuming the identity of the hospital cleaner). ---

I actually wondered about the Harrison ford ‘Fugitive’ when I made the post. It’s been too long since I’ve seen it to remember whether or not he committed any crimes in the process of being on the run, other than the fact that he did run from the law-- that, I believe, could be construed as resisting arrest. Once it was revealed that the person was innocent of the original crime, whether they would still be on the hook for running, is an interesting question. Maybe it would be up to the prosecutor-- a hard-liner might argue that if someone is indeed innocent they should allow themselves to be taken in and let the justice system sort it out-- that running wastes resources involved in hunting them down and creates unnecessary risks for those involved, and for the general public. ---

“I am not a number. I am a person.” **The Prisoner** – on Tubi The original (I know there was another one made in 2009, I don’t think I’m interested in watching it). I’ve known about this series since high school when my friend would quote it relentlessly in art class. For whatever reason, I hadn’t seen it and then forgot about it until I saw that it was available on Tubi. I just watched the first episode and it’s intriguing. An intelligence agent abruptly resigns, is abducted and wakes up in The Village. He tries to escape but is efforts are thwarted along the way. He doesn’t know who runs The Village but it’s clear they want the information that’s in his head. The show was made in 67-68 so it has this fun retro futuristic vibe and I understand it gets really trippy at the end. My wife watched half of it with me and commented “This looks like something that I would have watched while high in high school.” Maybe I’ll have her smoke up before the final episode to see how she reacts to it. ---
