We just binged Season 1 of Schmigadoon (Apple TV), which for anyone who loves (or even just doesn’t despise) mid-century musicals is a complete hoot.

Every episode features brilliant parodies/homages to Rogers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, etc., but this number by Kristen Chenoweth in episode five is the absolute topper.

“Tribulation & Strife” is a tour-de-force tribute to _The Music Man_’s showstopper, “Ya Got Trouble,” and Kristen and the company do it here in one incredible uninterrupted four-minute take.
