We just finished [_Summer '36_](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt38776795/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_5_nm_3_in_0_q_Summer%2036), a new French murder mystery miniseries, set in Nice. Four women are suspects in the murder of a prosecutor. Nicely done, if not extraordinary in its complexity. Its cast includes [Miou-Miou](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0591877/?ref_=tt_cst_t_9), and in looking her up, I found that 53 years earlier she had starred in _[The Mad Adventures of “Rabbi” Jacob](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069747/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_2_nm_2_in_0_q_Rabbi%20jwcob)_, a 1973 French comedy I vaguely recalled as having seen before. So we [watched it](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/movies-youve-seen-recently-part-2/1006288/6057) last night. --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/series-youve-recently-watched-are-now-watching-or-have-given-up-on/946108)._
