Oh, dear Ceiling Cat. It’s been a hell of a week. Irk is going beautifully. They love me and I love them. I don’t sit on my ass all day and I don’t work with the public. My boss handed me an invitation to apply for a permanent position with the department, so there is an excellent chance that it’ll turn into something permanent with benefits and everything. The sprog is down in Texas with his grandparents and is thoroughly miserable. I think this is the last year he spends time down there over the summer because both of my parents are busy during the day and there really aren’t any kids where they live. My mother decided to send him to tennis camp, but he doesn’t know any of the kids and the others have known each other for quite a while and he feels left out. Compounding the problem (for me, anyway) is that I’m somehow supposed to fix this. I stepped aside and told my mother to work it out with the sprog. I’m not getting involved with that. So Tuesday, I had to do some paperirk. I was kinda hungry so I walked over to Strawberry Square, which is a mall that has a food court. As I walked outside with my snack, who should walk out but my ex-husband? At least he doesn’t work in the same building. ---

Howdy Y’all! Besides bein’ da mean ol’ bear at irk, I have also prepared and ingested dindin and gotten OYKW’s phone all set up. I remembered that at least most of his contacts are on the sim card in his old phone which fits the new phone so I got his contacts over to his new phone easy. I had assumed he would have added a few more, but when he looked at his contacts he said they were all there. Figures. They are there because I put 'em there in the first place. OYKW is sort of a Luddite. 😃 Oh and I sprung for some intartoobz usage on both phones (shared usage) and backed up all our contacts on what ATT is callin’ it’s “locker.” OYKW then asked me to please block usage of teh intartoobz on his phone. He is afraid he’ll accidentally do sump’n dumb. **Sari** yay for no cancer!!! So that’s been da bear’s day. I’s tahrd. Ima go lie upon the bed and watch teevee unil sleepy time. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 96 for the day and rumors of rain this afternoon/evenin’. We shall see. I am venturin’ west, then south, then southeast today. Three places I need to visit that are kind of isolated, but if’n I take off earlyish from da cave I should hit all three. Of course, this means travelin’ back this afternoon up a little two lane state highway will probably occur in rain/tstorm/apocalypse weather. 😃 **Nettie** get some sleep! Been quiet in here overnight. Everyone must have gone beddy bye early. Ok, that’s all I got. Need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. \*\*Butters \*\*- We fly out of Dulles (in DC, in case you’re not familiar) via Reykjavik to London on Aug 25, board the ship on Aug 27, and end up back in NYC on Sep 22. The longest stretch we have at sea will be 3 days between our last stop in Iceland and getting to Newfoundland. Then there’s 2 days from Newfoundland to NYC. Other than that, it’s mostly port-to-port overnight with a few longer legs that have a day at sea in between - like Southampton to Bergen, Norway. \*\*swampy \*\*has kindly volunteered to relay my email tidbits to the MMP in my absence, so you’ll get all the details I see fit to share. 😃 I can’t afford enough on-line time to post here myself. It’s only 61° this morning - huzzah!! I’ve opened some windows, but not all, since it will warm up eventually. I’ll do some laundry today and do some of the prep work for our crabbing adventures. I’ll also help \*\*FCD \*\*set up a photo page for his aquarium stuff - he’s decided to sell it off piecemeal since the likelihood of someone wanting the whole shebang is teensy-tiny small. So the critters, corals, and live rock go first, then the various components, right down to the RO system. I think after the latest spate of drama, he’s decided he just doesn’t want to deal with it any longer. It’d be great if I got home and it’s all gone. Other than that, no idea what the day will hold. Happy Firday! It’s cool this morning but it already feels humid. It’s supposed to get up to 83 so like **FCM** I will have to close my window. Today is house inspection day and if it doesn’t pass I will be very upset. I’ve had enough and I may just go rent something then. I hate to rent because I feel like it will be a financial setback as well as most apartments are _noisy_. One of my friends told me if this doesn’t work to pack a bag and come stay with her for a while. Sah-son would have to stay here but I could probably take the dog. ---
