That’s interesting. When did we start letting Cubans into Congress?

Well, the only other Cuban-American democratic congressman, Albio Sires, was born in Cuba. So that almost counts.

> A better analogy would be if Nixon’s brother ran for president a decade after Watergate.

That is a better analogy. I wasn’t really making that analogy, more of a “Nixon fatigue”/“Bush fatigue”. After Nixon lost the Calif. governorship, he famously told the press “you won’t have Nixon to kick around any more” and _no-one_ would have disagreed. I worry at those who think “Bush fatigue” is some sort of real and permanent condition due to the excellent memories and judgement of the US voter.

Agreed, and a counter-argument is that every winning Republican ticket after 1972 has had a Bush on it (and you’d have to go back to 1928 to find a winning Republican ticket that didn’t have a Bush or Nixon on it.) So maybe they’d be crazy _not_ to nominate Jeb.

Maybe Jeb Bush just needs a [theme song like this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmKgITJejfg) to kick things off. 😉
