We get some Armenian Genocide Denialists here every so often, dragged in by some of the columns, and I seem to recall at least one fluoridation nut. That’s about it for old-fashioned Usenet-style crazy around here. Being new here, I’m just curious. If this person is regarded as a troll, isn’t there a rule about not feeding the trolls? Beyond that, how does anyone even have the patience? I’ve tried to read that thread several times and I always awake several hours later in a puddle of my own drool. Just curious. ---

You’d think, but here they just get grossly obese (15 page thread mmm delicious). Ignore list? Nobody’s ever heard of such a thing. It’s amusing to me more than anything else anymore to watch people try to debate/reason fairly on a level playing field with someone who is clearly (often from the very beginning) not the tiniest bit interested in such concepts. People seem to respond to such types in the hopes that pointing out the troll’s numerous factual and logical errors will eventually result in him (it) at long last going, “Oh! You have finally made me see the error of my ways! I completely repent all that I said before!”, replete with sackcloth and ashes and a ritualized self-flagellation thrown in for good measure. But it never happens. ---
