Sesame Street Flashback... whoa!

Whenever I’m at my parents home I always feel that Grover should be there - they have a big dog and a little dog and my dog is medium sized. This is big, this is medium, this is small…do you get it? No? Oh…This is. etc.
Also used to walk around our streets singing: the McCabes are some people in the neighbourhood etc, the lesbians are some people in the neighbourhood etc and anyone else whom we knew as we walked around.
Not to mention that one of the newsreaders on TV3 looks like the Maori version of the Count - I keep expecting him to count one, mwa ha ha ha. Oh, and I’m not even American!

[nitpick] it my have been used on SS (altho I cannot recall) but it is originally from the Muppet Movie[/nitpick] along with Miss Piggy’s love song I used to croon to my then BF

Funny how we remember things. I always thought the reply to Mahna Mahna (which I also thought was something like Minomina), was “ba do Ba doopy”.

I remember Kirmit doing a duet of “It’s not easy being Green.” with Ray Charles. I gotta tell you, it was Grammy worthy.

Ray seems to have had a good handle on being green, ya know?

The segments I remember-a little girl skipping along, carrying her cat under her arm, who howls because she wants down. Then the little girl imagines if her cat were big and she were tiny, she wouldn’t want to be carried. So she puts Kitty down, who skips happily along side her.

Oh, and when they showed how crayons were made, or the bottles at the recycling plant.

Or the time Bob caught Cookie Monster dipping peanuts into a stick of butter.

Bob: WTF?*
CM: Me like peanut butter
Bob: No, no, Cookie Monster. Watch this clip with me on how peanut butter is made…

Bob: See?
CM: Oh. Thank you, Bob. PEANUT BUTTER!!!, [proceeds to dump the entire contents of the bowl of peanuts and stick of butter into gullet]

I think the Sesame Street bit I was most intrigued with was the Me and My Llama girl. Remember that? It’s about a girl who takes her llama to the vet, and there’s this song about Me and My Llama. The bit that interested me the most was that she seemed to live in a city! Now, I too lived in a city, and my parents were always using that as the reason I couldn’t have a horse or a cow or whatever, but how come that girl got a llama?

Seemed unfair.

Also: remember the making of the orange crayon? SO COOL.

I liked Big Bird Goes to China, where they were trying to solve a treasure map or something. Damn, I’ll have to see if I can’t rent that.

A few months ago, Follow That Bird was on, and to my secret shame, I sat down and watched it. And to my even bigger shame, I cried.

Family Guy just had a scene with Stewie in a transparent pinball ball that was otherwise identical to the “1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12!” thing. I heard it from the computer and just about broke a leg trying to get to the living room to see it before it ended.

Best Family Guy flash back ever. Serously. I finally remembered 1234 FIVE 6789TEN11 TWELVE.

While doing Christmas shopping we were all getting a bit tired. For me, the first thing to go when I’m tired is my ability to speak. So I tried to say something and started to stumble over my words. My brother gives me a mock slap across the face.
