a) Do you remember when Snuffle-up-a-gus was believed to be only in Big Bird’s imagination? b) Do you what year Snuffy finally became visible, and how this BIG drama unfolded on the Street?

I stopped watching about the time Big Bird started seeing imaginary things like Snuffa … uh, that thing. Even at such a tender young age, I apparently had the good sense to stay away from people, er, birds who did serious drugs. 😉

Apparently, November 18, 1985, which is much earlier than I expected. [Cite.](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloysius_Snuffleupagus) I also didn’t know his first name was Aloysius.

Oh, would YOU like to know? Probably best just to read his [Wikipedia entry.](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloysius_Snuffleupagus) (Of course a Muppet has a wikipedia entry! What do you think this is, 1985 or something?)
