Seuss books

Occasionally in a physics lab or the like, we’ll be working with a problem with, say, an inner radius called “r” and an outer radius “R”. So you end up talking a lot about “Big R” and “little r”, and I always have to stop myself from continuing “What begins with R?”.

From the Alphabet Book, of course.

Well, I would like to know any books under any pen name of Geisl that are not worth owning.

Thanks for the clarification and the explanation of Dr. Seuss’ role in this. Also, it is quite ironic that Dr. Seuss should climb to such heights as, 22 publishers rejected his first book and he almost gave up, as I heard it. Hopefully, he taught publishers of that era a thing or two by becoming their competition!

Different Strokes, I guess. McElligot’s Pool was a hands-down childhood favorite of mine.

Didn’t Dr. Suess publish a “My Book About Me”?

My tentative answer to that specific query would be “none”.

Indeed, he did- “My Book About Me by Me, Myself- with a little help from Dr. Seuss [“co-author”] and Roy McKie [illustrator]”. The child is encouraged to fill in the book with information about himself. Most of the questions are serious, but some are rather silly in the typical Seuss style- the final question in the book is whether or not you would rather be a giraffe than a human.
