I noticed this morning an office next door to a doctor’s office I was visiting. It’s called “The Conference of Major Superiors of Men.” So the alien are so convinced that they can conquer mankind that they rent offices for their planning and make no effort to hide it from mankind. Furthermore, the plural indicates that there are several, perhaps a vast number, of alien races that have decided to conquer mankind. Apparently they are deciding which race gets each continent or country or whatever. ---

That’s what they want you to think it is. Visit the place yourself. Be sure to have someone outside the door who is pointing a camera at you as you disappear into nothingness as you walk into the office and see the aliens. Be sure to have someone even further from the door who is pointing a camera at that person as they disappear into nothingness. Have someone pointing a camera at them, and someone pointing a camera at them, and so on for a line of hundreds of people. If mankind is lucky, they won’t be able to make all of them disappear. ---

I mean, really, if you can travel space at a speed making conquest viable, they could just wipe us out effortlessly by dropping rocks on us. I recall a sorta wacky CT-ish acquaintance back around 2003 recommending to me a book dating from the 1980s-1990s that posited that all of humanity’s real problems are caused by meddlesome aliens who do it for teh lulz. We humans would all get along great if only the aliens didn’t keep stirring shit and influencing people to become despots or to back despots. or otherwise act all stupid. 200-ish pages of pure crackpottery nonsense. But the author(s) were sure True Believers of their own bullshit. Or so they seemed. Wish I could remember more about the book’s title or author to give a usable cite. ---

I counter with the much more “real” to me movie, [The World’s End](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World%27s_End_(film)) where [major spoiler!!!] the muti-alien interplanetary society is desperately working to improve Earth (technology wise) and get us to all just behave like civilized sophonts only to find we’re so damn bloody-minded and self-determined (not in a good way) that they constantly have to replace us to get reasonable behavior. Ending Spoiler: Due to the actions of the protagonists, they eventually realize that it’ll never work, and certainly not worth their efforts to the greater good. So they say F\*\*k it and leave, taking much of the last 50+ years of technological development with them, leaving us in a different sort of post-technological hellhole ---
