Sex after Marriage... but not with your wife!

I can has cite pleez.

Wait, so if I’m in Seoul, and I meet some lovely young thing in a bar, I’ve got a legal responsibility not only to ensure she’s over the age of consent (I assume there’s one there), but also that she’s not hitched to somebody else? What if she took her wedding ring off! Yeesh!

If you are in the military it can have a significant impact on your career.

Adultery in the military.

Geez, where has it NOT been reported?

But an Agence France-Presse story on it can be found here. I like this part:

He said his hardest case required bribing an angry wife to confess its location in a septic tank and the hiring of a wrecking crew to retrieve it. “I asked the nurse to clean it up well and warned the patient that he may get septicemia and he said, `do your best and if it gets septicemia I will die with my penis.'” “It was 15 hours between it being chopped off and reattached, which is much longer than the books say it can be done, but I went ahead and to my surprise everything went fine,” he said.

There have been so many local reports in the news here over the years. Google various combinations of penis, Thailand, ducks, balloon and slice, and you’ll come up with quite a few others.

And sometimes the tables are turned, as right here can be found an entertaining account on the local popular Mango Sauce website of a man who got drunk and sliced up his own penis because his wife refused him sex. About halfway down the page, the one entitled, “August 5, 2004: Numpty Dumpty had a great maul.” Admittedly, this seems to have been a Burmese national, but it happened in Thailand. And I remember other news reports when it happened identifying his wife as Thai, although in this instance the wife was not guilty. As the last sentence of the blurb says, “That’ll teach her!”

EDIT: Ah, I see now that you can go straight to that one Mango Sauce story here. But checking out the other link above, you’ll get to see other humorous local news, as well.

Wrongfully had sexual intercourse? Like… you know… in the stinker?

Well if marriage is a legally binding contract, adultery could be considered as severing terms of the contract… Perhaps?

VA has no-fault divorce. The cause does not come into account when determining spousal or child support.

Perhaps, but that case hasn’t prompted such a challenge yet despite the fact that some states still prosecute people accused of adultery.

Every State in the U.S. had no-fault divorce and has for a while. From Wiki:

As far as splitting the assets goes, adultery doesn’t enter into it.

The 1-800-FLOWERS case, if you actually read the cite, is a different story. In short, hubby and wife separate, hubby starts dating and sends new girlfriend flowers, hubby and wife reconcile and so hubby drops girlfriend, flower company sends thank you card, wife freaks and renews divorce proceedings, hubby sues flower company.
