The OP rant is so true. For that we can thank the puritans. But it’s just like that on the exterior. Privately Americans are just as adulterous as anyone else. Just ask Bill. And its not only that. We’re protecting our kids too much. I see the schoolbus with the stop sign and the thing that goes in front on it. When my child is school age I want to tell them to make sure they look both sides before they cross otherwise a car is going to smash them to bits. The real world doesn’t have special stop signs for them when they cross the road. I used to help them up chairs and stuff, but now I just stand back and wait for them to do it themselves. That’s the only way they can learn. ---

Well when I started dating all my mom said was don’t do it or you might get pregnant. Didn’t tell you what to do for protection just don’t do it. If my granny was around and you saw a pregnant woman, you don’t dare say anything about it. My granny believed you stayed inside the minute you started showing. So I was a virgin when I married the first time. Might as well have been a virgin the second time since I only had two in between and married one of them. So now I’m single and just realized how much I’ve been missing all these years. I used to be for this being married before you lived together or had sex, but hey what if you get married and then discovered you weren’t compatible in the bed. Divorce court here you go or either no sex life. There’s no need to hide it from children anymore, I think they know more than we do sometime. 🙂 Yep the TV has more than one channel. ---

Religious folks get all upset over the depictions of sex and violence in entertainment. But if the Bible was ever filmed EXACTLY as it was written, the movie would have to be rated “X” or “NC-17.” One film, _King David_, starring Richard Gere, was rated “PG-13” because of a nude scene and some battles, but that’s as close as any Biblical epic has ever come to showing all the blood ‘n’ guts and lusty sex that book contains.
