# Sex on the SDMB

I think I’ve spotted a SDMB trend: threads with anything sexual in the title have huge replies: views ratios (or maybe they’re small ratios, I was never great at maths). What I mean is, you get a thread called [Spread Your Legs, Babe](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=134750) and you’ll get nearly 1000 people viewing, but only 23 replies (at the time of going to press)!
Anyone get the impression that there a large unregistered viewing presence out there?!
I was going to call this thread “Replies: views ratios”, but then I thought, hold on, let’s do an experiment. Let’s see what the ratio for this is?!

Yeah, threads that are about sex tend to attract a lot of viewers. Kind of like the red light district: the viewer-to-buyer ratio is a lot bigger there than in your average supermarket.

And you’ll see the high views:posts ratio when the content of the thread doesn’t match up with the expectations that a poster might have for that thread, especially when combined with the sexually charged title.
