Prince (sorry, The Artist) pretty much owns this topic, doesn’t he?

A snippet from the tactfully titled “Come”

> [@](#):
>
> when I lay u down I’m gonna tell u what 2 feel
> (come)
> (don’t u) don’t be surprised if I make u my daily meal
> (come)
> (lickin’ u inside) lickin’ u inside, outside
> (outside) all sides (all sides), up and down (up and down)
> (come)
> With my tongue in the crease, baby I go ’round
> When I go down, down, down, (come) down, down, down…

Ah, but not every sexy song is all that recent … Witness “Love for Sale” by Cole Porter – 1930.

> [@](#):
>
> Love for sale,
> Appetizing young love for sale.
> Love that’s fresh and still unspoiled,
> Love that’s only slightly soiled,
> Love for sale.

> Who will buy?
> Who would like to sample my supply?
> Who’s prepared to pay the price,
> For a trip to paradise?
> Love for sale

> Let the poets pipe of love
> in their childish way,

> Every love but true love

Okay, it’s not “with my tongue in the crease,” but it’s pretty steamy for its day. 🙂

There’s a Ruth Brown bluesy song (or a Ruth Brown-like artist) where the woman is ostensibly selling a sofa-- I vaguely remember a line that goes something like: If you want to sit in it you have to pay for it. I ain’t giving it away for free.
Does anybody know it?

Yeup. More, More, More is a different song. Love To Love You, Baby has a long section in which Donna moans and groans as if. . . well, you know.

Sadly, I remember. It’s **Wrekx-N-Effect**. Amusingly enough, when I was doing some work on the Maryland campus techrooms last winter break, I found the tape it was from ( **Hard or Smooth** for those dying to know), and it quickly became our “test” audiocassette. Laughed every time hearing “All I wanna do is a zooma-zoom-zoom and a boom-boom, shake ya rump” at full volume on a lecture hall sound system.

That’s Georgia White (but she does sound a lot like Ruth Brown in that old shouting way) doing ‘If I can’t sell it I’ll keep sitting on it’.

For the love of all that is dirty and fun, what the heck is “butt cheese”? I always heard it as “your butt cheeks is warm,” intentionally bad grammar. And MOST lyrics pages I googled up agree with “cheeks” over “cheese.” (Though some agree more with you)

I can’t believe conversations like this one are what I paid to discuss.

According to [www.lyricstime.com](http://www.lyricstime.com) , butt cheese is correct.

So what was the song, came out in 1998(?)
mostly instrumental, with horn music, and a girl who would chime in “um, would you go to bed with me?”
