Perhaps I’m being naive, but I’d like to think I got on the nomination list for other reasons, same as you. Yes, it’s silly. But it’s also kinda fun and I’ll freely admit it does give me an ego boost today when I need one and this is the forum for silly things. ---

1. (Similar to someone else here…) I only read this thread because I saw Falcon had posted last, and thought I’d see what interesting thing she had to say. 2. I thought these threads had been assigned to the IMHO forum. [Any mods concur?] 3. Personally, I have to agree with Cranky and Hama on this one. 4. Re: Not “F-ing reading them” that’s all well and good, and I’m more than happy to oblige, but when it takes 2-1/2 f-ing minutes to open any thread on the message board…I think requesting people be a bit more frugal or selective with their thread starting isn’t such a bad thing. 5. I don’t much care about being voted sexy or unsexy by anyone except _Mr. Tzunami_ so don’t bother with the whiney, jealousy labels. 6. As far as the Midol remark, well, in the fight against ignorance, let’s call that remark proof of a minor loss for our team. Finally, while I’ve heard that the brain is the biggest sex organ, I don’t think it lends itself well to the pageant circuit. ---

I hate to do this, but I gotta chime in as agreeing with those discenting on this thread. I avoided opening it most of the day, but eventually curiosity overcame prudence. I truely dislike pagents and contest in general, because they, by their very nature, exclude people. If some person has to be the sexiest, whether it be because of their physical features, staggering intellect, or wonderously heartfelt caring nature, that means that someone else has to be second place, another third, etc. And of course, some don’t get mentioned at all. Not because they don’t deserve to me mentioned and lauded for their wonderfulness, they most certainly do deserve this. But they don’t get mentioned because the poster’s don’t think of them. There are so many sexy women (and men) on this board it seems unfair to try and rank them. I’m more than happy to participate in threads praising a parricular poster, even though I know this is somewhat the same thing, folks who haven’t had threads created to compliment them feel left out. For me there is a difference between happily complimenting and flirting with someone in a thread created for that reason and ranking one poster as better than another. -Doug ---
