**Catwoman** of course. Especially when it’s Michelle Pfiefer. Meooooooow! **Mystique** would be #2 for me. It’s hard to beat her costume in X-Men. All she’s wearing is body paint. ---

My favorites are from the Jim Balent comics and the old live-action series (I’ll take the Julie Newmar version over Michelle Pfiefer’s any day). Those later images of Phantom Lady almost look like a precursor to Vampirella. Interesting… ---

Supergirl’s suit went through numerous changes, though. I’m fondest of the 1980s version with the red hot pants and the little “S” on the left breast. ---

I’d have to go with Red Sonja (in the classic Maroto costume; you know, the chain mail bikini). Black Canary, in her fishnets-and-motorcycle phase, is also up there. Mary Marvel, especially in her new white costume, is oddly hot. I’m reminded of the Shakespeare villain who said “I do want her foully for her very purity.” And let’s not forget Penny Century. I understand Jaime Hernandez draws her with his fly unzipped, and most of the fans read her adventures in a similar state. ---

Oh, here’s a fun fact about Vampirella: Unlike most of the other Hoochie Mama bad-girl characters out there, her costume was actually designed by a woman (Trina Robbins, one of the first female underground cartoonists). The only other major superheroine I can think of with that distinction is Tarpe Mills’ Miss Fury, from the 40s. (Wendy Pini’s female characters dress kinda sexy–as does Wendy Pini, as of the last time I saw her–but I wouldn’t call her characters “superheroes” exactly.) ---
