I was so excited to see this thread, and then realized I was [post 44](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=7337914&postcount=44). So I’m gonna have to update the list. I won’t lie, my biggest game obsession over the last 5 years has been Warcraft. I do have crushes on [Illidan](http://www.narragansett.k12.ri.us/NHS/computer/Second_Semester_07-08/second_semester-2008_period_6A/Steven_Buchanan_WoW_Site/images/before-illidan-pre.jpg) and [Kael’thas](http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/081/c/4/kaelthas_by_Mao718.jpg) and I still have no idea what Blizzard did to his chin in the official BC art. And I’m just going to stop here before I make even more of a fool of myself. ---

FF8 definitely had the most masculine guys of the series. Hrm. Ward and Seifer, I can see, but those two aren’t really good examples… Speaking of FF, [Balthier](http://images.wikia.com/finalfantasy/images/0/0a/Balthier-ffxii-render.png), and [Fran](http://images.wikia.com/finalfantasy/images/5/55/Fran.jpg) (warning, seriously MASSIVE image) from FFXII should be added to my list. (In fact all the Viera. They are a very, very sexy species… But Fran’s the only playable one in FFXII.) I…uh…had a tendency to set the camera angle a bit…low when I had either of them in the party. \<\_\< ---

Ward? WARD? Don’t you mean Laguna? And I still love Squall best of all. I quit playing FF after FFX, though. Between Tidus being a whiny bitch, and Yuna being such a goody two shoes willing to sacrifice herself before she’s even lived as an adult, well…I didn’t like many of the PCs or the villains. A pity, too, because I think that X had some great things going for it. ---

Ward is so manly Kiros gets butched up by association. It occurs now, though my post could be misread as denying the attractiveness of those two…while I don’t find Squall terribly attractive, that wasn’t actually what I was commenting on - it was the ‘most masculine men in the series’ bit. ---

That said, Ward is kind of hot in his way. (Also, I totally 'shipped Ward/Kiros.) ---

OK, I can see Ward watching sports on TV, smoking a pungent cigar, and training his dog to fetch him another beer from the fridge. Yes, he’s the most masculine guy, I think. Most of the FF males are really, really pretty. Even the ones that are supposed to be tough guys. And even if they are wielding Very Big Swords.
