No noir based list, even about the theme music, is complete with an entry from The Third Man: And, as always, the answer to any question about The Third Man is: A Zither…it’s a zither\*. \*For those that haven’t seen it, that music is played throughout the entire movie so after someone watches it, the first thing they always say is 'what was that instrument they were playing the whole time?" ---

The first thing that comes to mind isn’t from a movie: \*\*Angelo Badalamenti - Audrey’s Dance, Twin Peaks \*\*soundtrack: [Angelo Badalamenti - Audrey's Dance (Twin Peaks OST) - YouTube](http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DF43b38k0Mw) (pardon the mobile link; on an iPad) Cool, sexy, kinda creepy, very noir - doesn’t get any better.
