# Shackleton finishes his voyage

The great-grandson of Ernest Shackleton finishes his voyage

He was part of a team that crossed the Antarctic in 4 X 4’s SUV’s.

Looks like it was a LOT easier for them in the 4 X 4’s than what Shackleton’s group faced

Interesting story. I’ve read both the Shackleton account and the Ross Sea party account. Both groups suffered greatly in the attempt to cross the continent. Astounding what folks considered important back then.

Great story! Shackleton has long been a hero of mine. The Top Gear article was interesting, too - the vehicles had to be modified less than I might’ve expected.
