I know some people lie about themselves in online forums but I don’t see the point of it. It’s not going to make him money, or get him laid (I’m talking the SDMB here, not dating sites) so what would be the point of doing that? To impress people he’s never going to meet? ---

Perhaps I shouldn’t comment. **Shagnasty** hasn’t made a huge impression on me one way or the other. (IIRC, his politics are right-wing. I’d be happy to Pit him for _that_.) But all this p-c, guilty-until-proven-innocent et cetera that has infected America is excessive (and in particular is causing American politics to go off the rails). Elect a child-rapist President, but deny an election to a man who dated teenagers when in his 30’s? Or a comic who faked a breast grab for the camera?? Some of the recent political developments remind me of the Anita Hill v Clarence Thomas hearings. I’m certain that most of the Senators knew Hill’s allegations were true — if she were lying she’d have come up with something better than _ **very tame offenses that happen everyday** _ — yet all the Senators hypocritically said “If these charges were true they’d be horrible HORRIBLE, but maybe she’s lying.” **Shagnasty** ’s behavior is probably very similar to what I might do in his position. And many other men if they were single with plenty of money and charm. Yet Dopers want to read between the lines, claiming he is a misogynist and doesn’t love one of his “imaginary” daughters! :smack: Sheeez! ---
