What I want is female affection that actually has some returns. I went out with my Long Island heiress today for lunch and I paid yet again. Then I went to see my daughters and the same thing happened until I put a stop to it. They are all treating me like an ATM and I have to play defense or they will bankrupt me eventually. It is ridiculous to think that I am a misogynist. I live my life serving women and they get the majority of the money I work very hard for plus lots of work and respect. ---

There was never any real-life threat. All I said was “this won’t out work well for you” but I was just referring to board moderation and life in general. I am not a threat to anyone and I love taking female friends out even if there is nothing romantic about it at all. I am not mad at you at all either for starting this thread because I truly believe you did it in good faith. Sometimes things need to be said but I can tell you I can’t change my fundamental personality and a lot of people don’t want me to. The same isn’t true for the sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies and dickheads. They are just trying to join the pile. I have been dealing with it my entire life and it doesn’t always work out well. ---

What the heck is wrong with pugs? They are adorably cute. But really Shags, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If your kids see you have issue with looks and position, or how big a bank account they have, it will not teach them to have empathy for the human condition. You are doing them a great disservice by not teaching by example and works to care about the sick, disabled and down trodden. It is close to child neglect, IMO. ---

They don’t have to worry about it. I grew up around poverty and don’t want them to have to go through that so I prevented it by moving to an exclusive town in Massachusetts where poverty doesn’t exist. It is a whole different mentality. Poor people aren’t just middle-class people with less money. The value systems are completely different. That doesn’t mean that I hate all of them; I don’t and I love many poor people. Some of them are quite personable even if they are destined for failure and a few make it out. I just don’t want my daughters associating with them because the risks are too high. ---

Yea, I would say they are at risk. I have 3 kids, my youngest being the most spoiled (according to her sibs), she selflessly spent part of her Thanksgiving break at a shelter near her college. Her theatre group volunteered to help with food prep. I am a serial volunteer, she has watched me do this her whole life and she is the most caring of young people. That’s not to say she is not spoiled and showered with love. I couldn’t live with myself if I had raised greedy and uppity children. It is just not the right thing to do. If you were so poor as a young person you would know this, and would, therefore try to fight the ignorance of the thing. You will be sorry when your young girls grow up to be greedy young women and get in bad relationships all because they are looking for the wrong kind of person to be with. ---
