for what it’s worth, I’ve been coming here daily for a few years now, just never joined. I’ve read tons of posts of his but, as I’ve only ever clicked on threads made on topics i was interested in, i never read any of his controversial postings or knew of any negative opinions others had of him till reading this thread. I’d never even clicked on the pit section till after i joined (I’m a general questions & IMHO reader 99.99% of the time). i think if you look at my few posts in this pit thread you’ll see it’s not like I’m jumping on the dog pile or picking sides so much as just asking questions out of general curiosity and a desire to know how far from or close to reality his claims of success were regarding his online dating. ---

What people are missing is that I don’t treat daughters, my mother, female friends or coworkers the same way that I treat dates. Nobody does that because it context dependent and completely different roles. It is a dumb argument. I took care of my daughters all day and then went straight to a date and we both had a great time. We made out at the end and there is no issue with that. Reverse those scenarios and you have a huge problem. I have no idea why people can’t understand this simple concept. I love women in many different ways. The point where you can get into trouble is when you cross different roles. Men need to understand that as well. Women like romance and sex too. It just needs to be in the right context. The current PC argument seems to suggest not to hit on women at all but that is clearly not nuanced enough. ---

Maybe things you enjoy, maybe things you resent, but always things. Maybe you view men the same way, i don’t know. This is not the viewpoint of someone who " loves women." ---
