Got a song that gets your booty shakin…i know i got some Silke Bischoff- the other side Depeche mode- behind the wheel, question of time, master and servant, people are people Skinny Puppy- assimilate, The Choke(regrip), fascist jock itch, smothered hope. DMX- that…“up in here…up in here” song…hehe Eiffle 65- move your body Front242- headhunter, no shuffle, welcome to paradise, quite unusual Assemblage 23- anthem, bi-polar VnV nation- solitary, procession, standing(motion), legion(janus), savior(vox), fragments…and many many more Basement Jaxx- i forget the name of it…but it’s being used in that coca cola commercial Prodigy- vodoo people, poison Chemical Brothers- any song off of Dig Your Own hole Daft Punk-the song off of the saint soundtrack more to come… ---

When one reaches my age, one does _not_ “shake one’s hinder.” That would violate the rules of decorum. Rather, if one perchance hears a particularly pleasing melody, one may, with proper dignity, tap one’s hand lightly upon one’s own thigh. Unless I’m home alone, and, oh, _Bohemian Rhapsody_ or _Start Me Up_ comes over the fm. Then I grab my air axe, assume the stance, grimace like Keith Richards and rock out like Pete Townsend complete with windmilling and air splits. But with dignity, of course. ---

I will happily shake my hinder, given appropriate hinder-shaking music. My hinder is perfect shaking size- big enough that you know something’s shaking, but not so big that people need to get out of the way while I’m shaking it. I pity these hinderless waif-model types. What do they shake when they dance? ---

I think I’m a little younger than you guys, but what the hell, I’ll mention some ghetto booty-shakin songs of my own: “Big Butts” can’t remember who did it, but it starts out w/two “valley girls” commenting on the size of some chick’s derrier “Thong Song” by Sisqo…played out but you can’t help shaking that thang…same goes for “Country Grammar” by Nelly and “Who Let the Dogs Out” by…damn I forget their name…“Love Rollercoaster” by The Red Hot Chili Peppers was good too 😃 🙂 ---

There are a bunch of songs I like to shake my hinder to, when I’m in a hinder-shaking mood, but I can’t think of any of them off the top of my head. I really prefer the kind of music you either line-dance, slow-dance or wave your lighter over your head to. Or jump about madly, with hinder-shaking optional (like the Dixie Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl” and some of the boy-band music). ---

According to my daughter Littlegirl (who is an expert on Top 40) “Big Butts” is _Baby Got Back_ by Sir Mixalot. DMX’s song is called _Pary Up_. Littlegirl also thinks Madonna’s _Music_ induces hinder-shaking. She also thinks any Britney Spears and \*NSync is good for shaking, so her taste is suspect. ---
