OK, I’m at lunch no more than fifteen minutes ago when I see a bunch of babies sitting around on the TV, smiling, cooing, holindg signs that say “Hi Mom”, the usual. “Diaper commercial,” I think. Then the syrupy children’s chorus kicks in. “Shake! Shake! Shake the Nation! Shake the Nation back to life!” “Life? Babies? What the… oh no,” I think. And there it is - the Million Baby March in front of the Lincoln Memorial, holding signs that say “Choose Me” to the swelling cheers of the throng. “Shake! Shake! Shake the Nation! Shake the Nation back to life!” _WHAM_ goes a gavel! _WHOOSH_ spins a newspaper! “SUPREME COURT OK’S ABORTION,” it screams. Oh no! Sad babies, wailing as they instantly fade into nonexistence! Way to tug on my heartstrings, felchwads. Did it ever occur to you blinkered Philistines that maybe the Supreme Court legalized abortion because _women demanded it_? Or maybe that women would _get abortions anyway_ even if it were outlawed, thereby _increasing the chance that those women would die_ because they had to go to back alley abortionists? “Nope - gotta save the cute babies. Babies are so cute! How could you not want such a cute baby if you get pregnant? They’re so cute when they gurgle.” Suck my gay uncle’s hairy nutsack, you cumdrooling bunch of closet pedophilic asscrickets. At least then you’d actually be doing something useful. That said, I remember there were some commercials here in the NY area (from the Robert Wood Johnson foundation? I don’t recall exactly) which did not make reference to the legality of abortion. Instead, they were trying to convince pregnant women to keep their babies. It was kind of glurgy; I think the slogan was “Life. What a beautiful choice,” but I thought they were fair and non-offensive. When I think about it, I can’t imagine any way to express that particular viewpoint without being either offensive or glurgy. I’ll take the glurge. ---

(They also support a lot of news programming on NPR, so it’s not likely they’re conservative.) The Arthur S. DeMoss Foundation was the group behind those stupid “Life. What a Beautiful Choice.” That said, yes, I am very much pro-choice. My great-grandmother died of infection following a backstreet abortion, leaving my grandmother and her sister motherless at a very young age. You can’t tell me that’s not as emotional (if not more so) than a bunch of babies. Finally, I find the “Shaking” theme to be of VERY poor taste. My first husband is in prison, having been convicted of shaking his own (and my) child to death. Yes, it happens, but we don’t need to adopt it to a campaign like this. It’s offensive, in poor taste, and it’s a shame there’s nowhere to write to these assmonkeys to tell them so. Robin ---

Ya, telling people the truth usually isn’t popular. I dont care what you say, listen to some of the stories from nurses who were in abortion hospitals tell you about how some of the kids they aborted were no bigger then premature babies. One nurse talked about how they had aborted a baby, set it on a counter and were caring for the women. The baby then began to cry (this was a partial birth abortion) and the nurse when asked what to do was told to just put it in the medical waste bag. How about another story for you sickos who are for abortion. A nurse involved in a partial birth abortion said that a huge amount of the aborted baby’s they took out where the same size and health as premature naturally born babies. The same care given to them would have saved their lives. So even when a baby could live outside the mother on its own its still ok to pull it out, and instead of helping it live… kill it. This is trully a sick world when a person can think about themselves so much that they would kill a baby rather than be inconvenienced. ---

When she got the pregnancy test results, she acted all so happy and proud that she was going to finally have a kid and acting all joyous and shit. Then all of a sudden, she got sick to her stomach.
