You can let them in any time you like.
But they can never leave.

But where are we going to find a wetsuit and a bucket of soapy frogs?
NM. Beaten to the punch with a better line from Smeghead.
No, of course it isn’t, and that’s not what I said. This doesn’t establish a precedent; I might decide to change or move a title even if no members of a group are posters this board. In this particular case, however, only one thread report indicated anyone had taken offense. If I had received a bunch of reports from Mormons, though, or had some indication they were offended, I probably would have taken action sooner.
If you thought it was inflammatory, you should have reported it.
Another zinger. I thought the one by Giraffe was good as well.
There was already a post from KarlGauss indicating that it had been reported, so I didn’t bother to do so.
This was a judgement call. My initial evaluation of the situation differed from that of KarlGauss. Additional reports might have caused me to re-evaluate my decision sooner. (This is not, however, to indicate that we make decisions merely based on the number of reports.)
In the case of spam, we encourage people to post “reported” in the thread so we don’t receive a large number of reports. In the case of other offenses or problems, however, we prefer that people not post “reported” in the thread, since in some cases it can appear to be junior modding.
+2. That was some serious funny!
It seems to me a good test for sensitivity and/or potential for offense for a title like that would be to substitute “Blacks”, “Jews”, “Muslims”, etc., for the group in question. I can’t imagine that a thread title implying that any of those groups are all liars would be allowed to stand as is on this board.
Now having said that, kudos to Colibry for a quick and just decision on the thread title in question.
He said eight minutes, not eight pages.

+3. I snorted.
