Written by Paul Abbott - it’s a COMEDY series about a single alcoholic dad and his six kids on a sink estate in Manchester. Last weeks episode about a child abduction was the most satisfying hour of television I can remember. It’s on Channel Four - so BBC America wont be taking it. Brits back me up - it’s had gay interracial sex, car jacking, fake marriage, abduction, blowjobs in exchange for homework, hetero anal dildos and the funniest Gollum joke Ive seen. And its only 4 episodes old yet! BTW - I am not Paul Abbott. ---

It sometimes causes confusion on the SDMB among people who assume that the BBC is the only TV station in this country. I haven’t seen enough of _Shameless_ to hold a strong opinion about it. ---
