Kevin and Veronica are a great couple, incidentally. Though I thought the “But…I can’t read!” plot was unnecessary. (While I shouldn’t talk about other people’s weight I will- Steve Howey has really packed it on since _Reba_, hasn’t he?) ---

Well, once they lost the cult-girl, they had to give them some sort of storyline, as the pregnancy one was boring in extreme. The caring for the old-guy storyline kind of died, and the pot-growing/ice-cream-van thing died on the vine, too. They seem to be only good for background characters, and to provide a sympathetic bartender for Frank. (And just hush – We BOTH know you’re happy that you finally got to see him naked, despite any weight gain 🙂 ). Personally, I’d love to see Veronica get pregnant, and settle down to have at least ONE normal family around there. But that would be boring, and this IS a drama… so maybe triplets. 😃 ---

I’m not sure who bothers me more–Karen, for being a complete sociopath, or Lip, for coming back to her repeatedly despite figuring out that she was a complete sociopath a long time ago, and potentially ruining his entire life for her to boot. I loved his “dodged a bullet” exchange with Jody (who, as crazy as he is, seems like one of the few people on the show whose motivations are generally good). I was also glad that Jody and Sheila hooked up, if only due to the hilarious scene where Karen walked up to her mom’s bedroom as “Kiss From a Rose” was blaring. Their brands of crazy seem to go well together. This show does seem to leave plot lines dangling. What of the cops suspecting Frank for Eddie’s murder? ---
