I think there are not very many people who were living in two different cities when they each hosted the Summer Olympic Games. Not visiting, not just being a tourist, but actually living in the cities for years beforehand: I was living in Montreal in 1976 and Los Angeles in 1984. ---

I have more than the mean number of legs, arms, eyes, and ears for a human being. (But not more than the median or the mode.) In my immediate family (me, my spouse, grown children) everyone is less than 5 feet or more than 6 feet tall. I have never lost on _Jeopardy_, _Wheel of Fortune_, or _Survivor_. ---

100% of women I have dated, including my wife, have been teetotalers. None of them ever drink any alchohol. (None of them have been religious or prudish in any other way, in case you’re curious.) ---

I’m a member of the same Howard family as the Ohio politicos and William Howard Taft. Both my brothers and several of my nephews and their descendants have the middle name “Howard.” ---
