Can I ask a small question? Why have a desktop wallpaper thingy at all? For me, if I’m on the computer I’m either working or trundling about the net. When doing either I can’t see my wallpaper. I ‘think’ mine is a bananna leaf but I see it so seldom it matters not a jot. Unless you are just looking at your computer while it does nothing why does it matter? ---

Because when I close things down, being old and having forgotten what’s on there, I get a nice happy surprise when I see the baby picture or animal or rainbows. 😛 ---

Mine is [this picture I took of Chicago in winter](http://www.flickr.com/photos/75905404@N00/2122707101/). To get a larger size, click on “ALL SIZES”. I have other similar pictures taken at the same time in [this set](http://www.flickr.com/photos/75905404@N00/sets/72157594412685150/), but (IMHO) the yellow-toned one is the best. ---

When I get it together, I’ll have to make another one. I have coworkers who walk up to me and ask where the bacon went. I even have a bacon flowchart that I’ll throw in. ---

I like playing “photographer” in World of Warcraft. When I see a bit of terrain combined with the right lighting (which changes all the time in the game), or an NPC that I like, I’ll fiddle with the in-game “camera” angles until I can frame a nice dramatic shot and then take a screenshot. And so I’ve been using these as my wallpapers for a few months.
