Yucatan Pork Roast

Note: you will probably have to find a Mexican grocery store for this recipe

-3# pork roast of any type
-6 garlic cloves, crushed (or more!)
-1 cup sour orange juice
-2 tbsp achiote paste
-1 tbsp salt
-1 tbsp chili powder
-1 tbsp fresh ground pepper
-1 tbsp Mexican oregano
-1 tsp cumin
-1 tsp allspice

Throw it all in the crock-pot on low for 8 hours.

Shred the pork and put it on tortillas with caramelized yellow onions, fresh tomato wedges, and poblano peppers
Delicious, I promise!

This sounds absolutely freakin amazing and I plan to make it this weekend. Question - I see there are a few kinds of achiote paste such as green, red, etc. Is this the kind of thing your recipe calls for? –\> [http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/pDetail.asp?i=12&p=393&s=1&price=3.7](http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/pDetail.asp?i=12&p=393&s=1&price=3.7)
