A lasagna… BUFFET! * * * My other favorite idea came to me in a dream. The Pajama Cafe. The dress code is pajamas (comfy, not sexy) and you get mostly breakfast food including big bowls of cereal with COLD milk. At this point I WANT somebody to steal that idea, just so such a place will exist. I even dreamed the logo: a big, smiling, winking crescent moon. ---

I would like an upscale restaurant that was part restaurant and part cooking school. You go with a group of people and after deciding on a menu, assist the cook in preparing the items. You’d learn how to stagger dishes so everything was ready at the same time, how to build a menu using what was in your pantry, etc. When the meal was ready, everyone ate together and went home with recipes, cook’s critiques on their efforts, etc. I realize there’s a lot of loose ends but I think that would be fun. ---

Well, unless you only “seated” one table at a time, you’d either need a kitchen the size of half a football field, or lots of smaller kitchens - otherwise it’s going to get very crowded in there Other than that - I like the idea. I’d love to learn to cook more than chili and scrambled eggs ---

Oooh, I had an idea for a restaurant a while ago. I made a post about it on my LJ [here](http://www.livejournal.com/users/frenchified/12423.html). Basically, it was dishes designed around politically incorrect themes (“The Saracen Pig – barbequed pork in a pita, held together with a sword shaped toothpick.”), with a few rotating dishes of a topical nature. Frex, pretend it’s 1789 and Marie Antoinette has just supposedly said, “Let them eat cake!” – the Austrian hussy. So, what pops up on the menu? Poor Man’s Cake: a pancake in the shape of a certain queen, with whipped cream hair and strawberry filling. Go ahead, bite her head off! It obviously needs work, but it entertains me to no end to turn news stories into recipes. ---

A cold pizza cafe. Everyone loves the stuff but you can’t go anywhere and buy it. You have to cool it down yourself, and then you only get a couple of leftover slices the next morning. This place can satisfy your craving any time of day. Add some overpriced caffeinated beverages and you’ve got the perfect college town hangout.
