Not being funny spoils the joke.

You need to provide signals that you’re joking when you joke. In person, the twinkle in your eye provides that signal. In a text-based medium, smileys serve that function.

I recommend that you follow moderator guidance on this rather than arguing.

It seems ironic that in a thread consisting of offensive jokes, \*\*taskmgr.exe \*\*gets admonished because some people didn’t realise that he/she was joking.
