My first job was at age 15. Refereeing a 5 y/o kids soccer game. One of the kids had an accidental handball, which wasn’t even a penalty.

One dad on the opposing team ran out on the field and demanded that I call a penalty. On a 5 year old girl who didn’t do anything wrong. He was screaming at me and getting my face, and I thought he might take a swing.

So I kicked him out. To the parking lot.

Other parents from that guy’s kids team thanked me for keeping my cool, as he was doing such things rather often from their anecdotes.

In any case that was the last game I refereed. I chose to run line for the thirty and over league instead.

They w
ould get in my face too, but at least 98% of the time they knew I called them offside because they were. After a few times trying to intimidate me, they actually seemed to respect me because I would stick by my calls.
