At a very popular and well-known California park/resort, a waitress wrote down my mother’s very common two-consonant, two-vowel first name as a wild and crazy three-consonant, eight-vowel adventure. I was surprised she didn’t pass out from exhaustion immediately afterward. It was quite an effort.
