Or other holiday decor. Lights, nativity scenes, mennorahs, bonfires, crop circles, whatever. If you are using it as holiday decor, it qualifies. We don’t get much company, Mr. McQ and I, but I wanted to show off our tree to somebody, and you guys are all somebodys. 😉 Here’s our [Solstice Tree.](http://img235.imageshack.us/my.php?image=otqu2.jpg) So far, the cats have been really good about leaving it alone. I’m looking forward to seeing whatever holiday-themed items you guys want to show off! ---

I don’t have a digi camera or I’d show our little tree, but honestly I think your curtains are more interesting than your solstace tree. ---

very cool tree, XaMcQ! i didn’t have the time to do one this year and there are no pix, obviously. i’ll have to live vicariously through the rest of you. just as well. Miss Speck would probably climb it like she climbs my yucca trees!!! 😛 ---

Ours decorations are rather helter-skelter, but at least they’re festive: Here’s our [headless christmas tree](http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i84/NinetyWt/Xmas2007004.jpg). I bought this from a salvage store, thinking I had a great bargain - well not only is it missing seven branches but it has no “top”. Oh well. I made a pseudo top out of wire and some of those little pole wrapper whosies. These [stockings](http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i84/NinetyWt/Xmas2007006.jpg) are made from a pattern I traced from the one Mother made for me decades ago. I think a couple of them need to be refurbished! (someone lost a letter …) The kindergarten my kids went to always sent home decorations the kids made. My daughter made [this one](http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i84/NinetyWt/Xmas2007007.jpg). We’ve gotten a few [cards](http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i84/NinetyWt/Xmas2007008.jpg) already. One family always makes theirs during the summer - this year’s is a photo of them with a ‘snowman’ made on the beach. I made a strange [globe](http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i84/NinetyWt/Xmas2007003.jpg) this year. I thought it would turn out more amazingly than it did, but it’s still kinda cute. Tomorrow I might try to catch my snowflakes with the sun coming through them. Now, after seeing my lame stuff, surely someone has something worth posting !! ---

It’s really really pretty. But it’s hard to photograph in low light. PS. This time of year it looks like we’re SO with it in terms of decorating for the holidays, because the throw pillows on the couch are of a Christmas tree, angels, and a snowman. Truth is, those are the pillows we use all year, and I only have them because they were _really cheap_ at Walmart a couple of years ago. 😑 Shh! Don’t tell. ---

We don’t have room for a tree here, so I did a [Christmas tree painting](http://picasaweb.google.com/raenjapan/Okinwa/photo#5142968385546063314). You can’t really tell in the photo, but the trunks are silver and there’s some silver paint mixed in generally. Looks better in person. We also have [christmas kittens,](http://picasaweb.google.com/raenjapan/Okinwa/photo#5142968548754820578) which aren’t technically decorations, but within the spirit of the tread, I think, and [this, whatever you’d call it.](http://picasaweb.google.com/raenjapan/Okinwa/photo#5142968643244101106) Merry Christmas, everyone! ---

It’s tropical here, so we still have leaves on the trees and flowers in the yard (its about 75 F right now). It doesn’t quite feel like Christmas, but we make do. ---
