Here is [our little baby tree](http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4975950&op=1&o=global&view=global&subj=1193997154&id=538705367#/photo.php?pid=4997954&id=538705367)! We have a tiny apartment, so this is pretty much the only size that fits. The boyfriend gets all the credit; he picked it out and strung the lights, I just helped hang ornaments. Note the Borg cube on the right. 🆒 ---

If so I must have heard that 500 in the course of the 10 years I was a nanny. The Doc’s I worked for had all those same ornaments. Their kids couldn’t pass by without pressing the sound over and over and over. Cute little tree. I told Mr. Cat I would like to get a small real tree next year. I know this started as a thread for your personal christmas tree, but I just wanted to share this. This is a display I pass by every day on my way to work. It’s about 10 miles from my home, near Pilot Mountain, NC. They have tons of pictures on their website.[http://www.pilotmountainchristmas.com/](http://www.pilotmountainchristmas.com/) These folks have a huge light and animation display that they put up every holiday season, and admission is free. It takes about a half hour to walk through if you’re a scrooge like me, and much longer if you still have the childlike holiday joy (like my wife). They even have free cocoa on the front porch. If that don’t get you in the spirit, I don’t know what will. ---

I heart me some edible Christmas trees and pictures of such that make the lights blur like that. Hungry and dazzled, it’s all good. 🙂 And **daniel** , we used to have something like that when I was a little girl growing up in Dallas. The husband did it for the wife every year and it was to my eyes (back in the 70s) a wonder to behold. You could walk around and see their big flocked solid white tree in the picture windo and imagine how rich they were to do all this for free. The sad thing was, the missus passed away when I was in high school and the elderly gentleman didn’t have the heart to do it anymore. So I miss that and I always appreciate a similar glimpse in whatever form it takes. Thank you. ---

I was raised Jewish, and since then have been an atheist. A few years ago I decided I wanted a Xmas/Hannukah/Kwaanza/Festivus/Whatever tree. So every year, on the day after Christmas, I’ve been buying ornaments when they’re on sale. This year I finally got the tree . . . a 7.5-foot really nice fake one with 800 steady lights, plus I added some randomly twinkling ones. I can’t wait to go shopping for more ornaments on the 26th! ---

My husband and I always go shopping on the 26th for ribbon, christmas cards and an ornament here or there. Most of the ornaments on our tree were gifts (if you give it to me, it goes on the tree) or ones that we bought on holiday (we buy an ornament from each city or country we visit). ---

We’re Jewish, so we don’t put up a Christmas tree, but we do have a wreath my mother made about 40 years ago that I still use around our menorah. We place it on a draped table and stack the prezzies in front of it. You can kind of see that it has little white lights all around it, and when the menorah is lit, it’s really pretty. Oh, and having seen **GraceTX** ’s tree IRL, I can attest that it is absolutely stunning. Martha Stewart couldn’t make a tree that exquisite! 😃 ---
