I’ve seen ads for phone apps that track car travel for business. In LA that could be lots of miles. ---

Good on Mrs. LA! I’ll third or fourth what everybody else has said; get a CPA type to set up her Quickbooks accounts and explain it all to her. I wish I had done that when I started my business. She’ll do great. ---

Mrs. L.A. had her first patient yesterday. The patient and his caregivers were very pleased. Before her visit, Mrs. L.A. went to her old employer and gave a 10-minute presentation on foot care, and left some flyers. She was well received. ---

I’ll toe in here and say it sounds like she’s nailed the perfect opportunity! (pause for collective groan) Neuropathy is a coomon complication of Diabetes. Many Diabetics lose the sensation of irritation in their feet, and an injury anywhere on the foot can miss detection. I personally have known people who have gotten life-threatening infections from seemingly minor injuries. One man almost lost his leg, and fortunately ended up losing a few toes, instead. I’m surprised Medicare does not cover this. Perhaps it’s a matter of degree. If you’ve had past problems with infection, Medicare might consider preventative foot care as cost effective.
