When my inlaws had their accident in 1991, their dual ambulance bill was a couple grand for both of them. I remember looking at one of the statements and seeing that the neck /back fee was about $800. And they each had one. Severe head trauma, back injury, loss of leg (later reattached…terrible stuff.) They were only two miles from the hospital when it happened, too.
Their insurance covered everything, but it still isn’t fun to deal with at all, the knobs.
