President Obama isn’t in Arizona, has no chance of winning Arizona in a general election, and isn’t subject to its jurisdiction for any other purposes, so I don’t think any of those problems will deter Arpaio. Armenians don’t look any more brown than Arpaio himself; they look pretty much like other eastern Europeans. ---

Take a map of the Middle East and drop lines from the present (former Soviet) Republic of Armenia across eastern Turkey to roughly the point where Turkey, Syria, and the Mediterranean Sea come together. That wedge was formerly part of Greater Armenia – a mixed populace but plurality Armenian. (The smaller wedge to the southeast which it cuts off is part of what would be Kurdistan, along with the Iraqi and Iranian bits.) There are nearly no Armenians there now. While some few became refugees, to California or then-Russian Armenia, most were victims of the genocide. ---
