It seems to me that Joe Arpaio is little more than your classic “Boss Hogg” type of country sheriff who sees Maricopa County as his own personal fiefdom and is used to having his way by intimidating and slandering anyone in government or the media who dares to stand up to him. Of course, now it’s the Department of Justice who’s got him under indictment, and it turns out that trying to intimidate the President is a wee more difficult than spreading nasty rumors about a city councilman. ---
