# She's A Pie = She's A Tart?

My wife and I were watching the VHS movie of “Anne of Green Gables”. In it, there’s a line in which Anne says “she’s a pie”. Is this a Canadian or British expression? I WAG it means she’s a tart? - Jinx

Now that I think of it, I think the line is “she won’t cheat because she’s a pie.” Mayeb this means she’s too sweet and innocent to cheat? - Jinx

What was the context? Are you sure she wasn’t referring to Josie Pye, a character in the story? I think there is a whole family of Pye sisters, if I remember correctly. That might be the source of the confusion.
