It’s the memoir of Jennifer Finney Boylan, a transgendered author and professor of English. I picked it up at the library today because I took classes from her before her transition from James Finney Boylan (is that the right phrase? I don’t want to be inaccurate, but that’s the best word I could come up with).  
It’s really good - I got home with it around 10:30 this morning, started reading around 3 and I’m about halfway through it. I think it’s reads well, very smoothly. I’m not normally a big fan of memoirs, but I’m really enjoying this one. So far I’ve gotten through his years in college and grad school, his marriage and the birth of his children.
