Social-_Democratic_ welfare states maybe would be a more accurate term. Or just welfare states. We don’t think about our countries as being “Socialist” ourselves, in case you’re interested.
Anyhow, I believe the Christian Democratic Party is in power at the moment, the Norwegian equivalent of CDU in germany f. ex.

What you meant is to imply that there is something Very Wrong with Norway and that we should all therefore be contemptious of the Nobel committee.
