In over 50 years of building the Crazy Horse Memorial, they’ve managed only to sculpt most of the face and block off the mountain where the outstretched hand and horse’s head will be. ---

**smiling** , his name was Wilmer McClean. One of his daughters also married a Union soldier (not sure if he had rank or not) that she met when the two generals met to end the war. Wilmer made enough money from the sale of his parlor furniture (where the generals met) to provide her a nice dowry 🙂 ---
