None of them can fulfill our power needs at any point in the next fifteen years or so. On the other hand, progress is being made in solar energy, with panels being made more cheaply and designed to convert more sunlight into usable electricity every year. ---

If anybody at CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC or CNN did something like this to Bush, Cheney, Palin, et al, scumbags on the right, probably including Starving Artist, would be SHRIEKING for their heads. And any of those organizations would probably force out someone who did this. If Fox had a shred of integrity they would force Hannity to apologize. I won’t hold my breath. ---

They can do anything they want, but if a Democrat tried the same thing, hooboy what a stink would be made. I’m still shaking my head over Pete ‘We could learn a lot from the Taliban!’ Sessions. Imagine, if you will, a Democratic politician [saying such a thing](http://thinkprogress.org/2009/02/05/sessions-gop-insurgency/). The loud, continuous outrage would be heard (over and over and over and over and over and over and over and fucking over again) all the way to Mars. Whoever said it would be drummed out of Congress. But because a Republican Rep said it, the Democrats just rolled their eyes and said “what an ass” then forgot about it, the Republicans ignored it, the mainstream media ignored or buried it, the right-wingers and media ignored it and probably privately agreed. Sessions is still around, still being stupid, and has not suffered one bit for having said such a shocking and traitorous thing. ---
